Voyage International School Abuja has celebrated its 2018 graduation and prize giving day to encourage its students to perform better in their academic and non- academic activities.

The executive director of the school, Shakirat Animashun Oriyomi, said the school organised the occasion to encourage the students to be hardworking and achieve their goals.

“As a school, we recognise the importance of giving awards to the students. In the prizes and the awards you will notice that we are not just giving prizes, awards and gifts for academic performance only.

“We equally look to the behaviour of the students. So we have the behavioural gifts and prizes. We equally have the academic ones. We go as far as giving gifts to the children that smile most in the school,” she added.

She said the purpose of the awards was to make the children happy and emotionally balanced among their peers.

She disclosed that 64 students and pupils in the early years, primary and secondary school sections, have been graduated.

She applauded the performance of the students in the last WAEC examination for making excellent results.

President of the Parents Teachers Forum of the school, Aliu Akoshile, applauded the management of the school for giving different awards, prizes and gifts to the students.

He said the gesture would go a long way in encouraging the students to perform well in both academic and non-academic endeavours.
