State Director National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mr.Vitus Ekeocha, gave the advise yesterday in his address at the voter education campaign held at Umuelemai in Isiala Mbano LGA.
He warned that any politician who engages in such act for purpose of gaining favour would in the end be jeopardizing the future of voters in the state.
Ekeocha appealed to the politicians to rather spread the message in all parts of the state to enable people become fully aware to come out in large numbers to obtain their voters cards.
The NOA boss urged the people to come out to procure their voters’ cards, saying it is the only instrument that gives them power to vote whoever they want.
On the shortage of INEC machines, the director assured that the commission has made adequate arrangement to get additional machines from the neighbouring states to ensure that the exercise is properly carried out.
