He said  last  year about N95.19 million was paid to WAEC for the examination fees of 16,186 candidates while over N119.93 million was paid to NECO for the examination fees of 16,300 candidates.
This year, the commissioner disclosed, N162.61 million was paid to WAEC for the examination fees of 20,122 candidates while N174.3 million was paid to NECO for 21,560 candidates.
He also said about N25 million was paid to the Federal Science College, Sokoto, for over 350 indigenes of the state studying in the institution.
Danchadi explained that the figure excluded fees paid to NABTEB for various examinations of the state’s science, technical and vocational schools.
He however said the payments for the 2013/2014 academic session, which has only just commenced, are being worked out.
