A statement signed by JNI Secretary Malam Ibrahim Kufena said people must learn to tolerate and respect other people’s views in order to keep peace.
“Unless we sit down together to find lasting solutions to the problem, we may be living for another dooms day which nobody prays for”, the statement said, adding that the allegation by the Southern Kaduna Peoples Union that the attack was masterminded by the Fulani was unjust.
“For people to apportion blames on Fulani herdsmen is just a way of leaving the crux of the matter to ordinary conjectures”, it said. JNI appealed to people living in the affected areas to ignore all allegations and cooperate for peace.
