The chairman of the organization, Dr. Abdullah El-Okene, told the press in Abuja that the media report was malicious and provocative and has allegedly defamed the character of the outstanding cleric who is well known for his modern time interpretation of the Holy Qur’an nationally and internationally.

He further stated that in the entire life of the Islamic preacher, nobody has ever attempted to arrest him at home or abroad, adding that even his followers and children have never encountered any difficulty while entering the holy land.

The organization, however, stated that the publication has nearly succeeded in creating disturbances in Kano where some of  the followers of the Kaduna based Islamic preacher attempted to invade the Saudi Arabian embassy to demand the release of the sheikh.
