This year, God’ll release power to the obedient -Apostle Eunice Gordon-Osagiede prophesies

This declaration was made at the conclusion of the Spirit and Life Bible Church and Godhead Prayer Ministry convocation in Abuja recently. A communiqué issued at the end of the convocation tasked believers to demonstrate redemptive love of Christ “that all may know that we are the Disciples of Christ”.

In this year of restoration, Apostle Gordon-Osagiede declared that God will release His power without measure to the church to demonstrate God’s love. The release will come forth through His people as the gifts of the spirit operate in their lives without restraint under the direction of the Holy Spirit (John 13:34-35).”

Christened “My Unique Year of Open Door”, the church charged believers to become “Spiritual House” with Christ as the chief cornerstone. Christians were urged to become instruments that will bring new souls to the house of God for discipleship. It was prophesied that this being a unique year of offering quality service to God through evangelism, many millionaires shall be raised for the Kingdom assignment.

Speaking after the convocation, Bishop Gordon Ada Gordon-Osagiede said, “This year’s convocation was great and well attended. People all over the world attended and their ministries were represented. The power of God was greatly manifested in the lives of the people with signs and wonders as confirmation of God’s presence in the event.

“Our expectation was high and to God’s glory we were not disappointed. Based on the feedback we got and what we saw, everything went well and wonderful. The event was well attended; everything that was needed to be done was done, everything went well.

“This great news is over the years since this convocation began, there has been no accident or death recorded of all participants to the glory of God. I still believe and hope there shall never be such thing in the history of our convocation.”

The bishop said the Lord has set an Open Door before his people this year so all should key themselves into these prophecies to get their blessings. “I will also advise you to get the CDs of the convocation messages, listen to them over and over again until you catch your revelation of Open Door,” he advised.

Speaking with journalists shortly after the convocation, the US-based Apostle (Dr.) Alfred Craig from Azusa World Ministries in Phoenix Arizona, said, “God gave us power to get wealth just as He promised in Deuteronomy 8:18 that He might establish his covenant with us on earth.

“The power to get wealth is the ability of God in our lives to produce results as we follow through what the word of God says. God promised us an Open Door this year. It might interest you to know some of the things in this year; you will find righteousness in this door, deliverance is in this door, healing is in this door and the word is in this door. So when people go back with the revelation of these words and act upon them accordingly, they will get results of a continual Open Door.”

Dr. (Mrs.) Beverly Craig who is the president of International Women for Nations lamented that over time, women have been looked down upon, and women are not recognised and are not given their rightful positions.

“We are creating awareness through this medium that as women of God, we can do all things through Christ that strengthens us because it is Christ that gives us the strength to do all we are called to do. We are women of power and women of purpose. We can take on the world and even the enemy,” said she.

According to her, women are looking unto God’s power to come to be in governments of the nations. “God is raising women in the end-time to show men that they have to do things right in our nations. Right from creation, God created women to play the complementary role to man. Man is not getting it right, so women have come up to say this is the right way to have the answer and solution,” she stated.

Before the convention came to a close, Apostle Eunice Gordon-Osagiede announced the introduction of Women in the New Nigeria (WINN) an anti-corruption interfaith organisation. This, she said, is part of the efforts to ensure that the April elections are free and fair. WINN is working in collaboration Voters Education and Sensitisation Treaty (VEST). The Apostle said the era of believers standing on the fence is over, calling on all to fully participate in the electoral process. The flag-off of VEST comes up tomorrow in Abuja. Stakeholders will converge to formally kick-start the programme for the support of a free and fair election in Nigeria.

During the convocation, bags containing stickers, T-shirts and informative materials promoting credible elections were given to all participants. About 3,000 delegate worshippers turned up from all over the world for the week-long event.

Many distinguished guests were present. Among those from abroad were: Bishop Gordon Ada Gordon-Osagiede from Arizona USA; Reverend (Dr) Jerome Parker of Harvest House Christian Center, Akron, Ohio, USA; Apostle Alfred Craig (the Word Technician) from Azusa Ministry, Phoenix, USA. From across Nigeria came the Philippine Ambassador to Nigeria, Ambassador Nestar Padalhin; Mr. Ibrahim Bangalu, Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Edo State; Bishop Samson Okelezoh of the Ministry of Perfection, Benin City; Pastor George Izunwa of Gateway Ministry, Port Harcourt; and Reverend (Dr) Shola Kolade of Vineyard Ministry, Ibadan.

Apostle Gordon-Osagiede, the convener thanked God specially for giving her the grace and strength to complete the assignment God gave her to gather all ministers in Nigeria to prayer for the peace and restoration of past glory of Nigeria.

She enumerated the benefits of the 12-month prayers that ended at National Christian Centre Abuja, on February 25, 2011 as including: spiritual revival, restoration of lost glory, stoppage of the war and distaste hovering over Nigeria. She expressed, “What would have led to civil war has been aborted. Don’t forget that what caused war in other countries has happened here, yet God kept us together. This is as a result of answer to the prayers of the servants of God who pray.”
