The suspect who was said to be fuming with rage, stepped out of his lorry with registration number XG 476 EPE and a hot argument was said to have ensued between the duo. The driver was reported to have given the victim a punch in his face. Instead of reacting or retaliating as is expected in similar rows which is a common sight in Lagos metropolis, the taxi-driver was said to have instantly slumped and fell down.
Following the development, onlookers and other people who witnessed the incident immediately rushed the victim to nearby Lagos General Hospital.
Sadly however, on getting to the hospital, the victim was confirmed dead by medical personnels who attended to him.
The case according to the state Police Command had been transferred to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba for further investigation.
