Supervising minister of education had last week threatened to sack all the lecturers’ failure to return to the classroom latest December 4, 2013.
“We think in the interest of our children and the nation, both parties should tread with care. To say go back to work or be fired is not a very tactical way of resolving the crisis,” the statement said.
The group said any attempt to force a decision on ASUU might escalate the crisis but also appealed to both parties to return to the negotiating table and ensure they both shift grounds in the interest of students who have been at home for months.
