Arsenal are waiting for the green light to sign Sporting CP midfielder Gelson Martins.
Record says Sporting have made a late bid to keep Arsenal transfer target Martins.
Martins is on the Gunners’ radar as they look to bolster the squad Unai Emery inherited from Arsene Wenger.
And they had the enticing prospect of signing him on a free transfer after he cancelled his Sporting contract.
Sporting are holding out hope that it will not go through though.
And they are said to have met with Martins to discuss him changing his mind over quitting the club.
