Nigerian singer, songwriter and instrumentalist, Oluwatobiloba Dawodu popularly known as Sir Dauda, has come through with a new song titled, Jara.

‘Jara’ is the artiste’s first single since his 2020 debut Ep titled ‘Love Ex Machina’.

Jara (which means Extra, Surplus, overflow) is a highly infectious summer jam with playful lyrics and lighthearted melody where the ‘Logba Logba’ crooner talks about his lover giving him all her love and more.

Sir Dauda was first introduced to the Nigerian music scene in 2012 with the release of his first single titled “Sisi Oloja”, which turned out to be a fan favourite and opened the door for a number of collaborations with other Nigerian acts including Show Dem Camp, Adekunle Gold, Blackmagic, Aramide, Loose Kaynon amongst others.

He is signed to BAHD Guys Entertainment, owned by popular rap artiste, Folarin Falana fondly known as Falz, and is a frequent collaborator of the “Bop Daddy” rapper.

Speaking on the song, Sir Dauda described how elated he was to release a new single.

He said, “I’m really excited about this record and I hope you’ll make this summer all about extra love and giving somebody some Jara!”

The track is produced by Sess, mixed and mastered by Grammy award-winning sound engineer, Vtek. Jara is a song that would keep you dancing.
