The Osun State Police Command has arraigned a 55-year-old man, Mustapha Owolabi and his 48-year-old sibling, Azeez Owolabi, at a magistrate court in Osogbo, over alleged fraud of N120,000.
The police prosecutor, Mr Ajayi Sunday told the court that the accused persons conspired to collect a sum of N120,000. from Matiu Oke and Odewale Olayemi at Owode-Igbona in Osogbo.
He said they failed to offer the service that they were paid for and they refused to refund his money.
The prosecutor told the court that the offences committed by the accused persons were in contrary to and punishable under section 421 of the Criminal, Code 34, Volume 11, Laws of Osun State, Nigeria, 2003.
When the charges were read to the accused persons, they pleaded not guilty and their counsel, Mr Abdul Lateef Imran applied for their bail and assured that they would provide reliable sureties if granted bail.
In his ruling, Chief Magistrate Olubukola Awodele granted the accused person bail of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum. He adjourned the case to 8th of October, 2017.
