Sheraton Hotel hosts cocktail to raise funds for IDPs

More than 200 dignitaries, distinguished members from government agencies as well as CEO’s from multinational organizations and non-governmental agencies converged at the Ladi Kwali Conference Centre for a Unique Diplomatic Cocktail last Friday for an an auction to raise funds for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the North East.

The Diplomatic Cocktail which was organized by the management of the Sheraton Abuja Hotel was in collaboration with Top Socialite Modupe Ozolua of Empower 54.

The event commenced with a welcome note by the Deputy General Manager of the Hotel-Mr. Emad Rizk. The highlight of the event unveiled itself with an Arts exhibition and auction of exotic art works from various renowned artists such as Kelechi Amadi Obi,‎   Okwoju El-Dragg Leonard and  Damola Adepoju etc.

The funds raised from the auction will be used to support the needy Children living in IDP camps in North Eastern Nigeria.

Special speeches were delivered thereafter by the Leader of the Federal House of Representatives-Right Honorable Femi Gbajabiamila as well as the Country Representative of UNAIDS-Dr. Balali Camara.

The events consisted of drama presentations as well as a pre-recorded inspiring message of Hope from Grand Patron of Empower 54, Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

Other side attractions of the occasion included a raffle draw by the Sheraton Abuja Hotel teams, Le Meridien Ibom Hotel & Golf Resort as well as Sheraton Lagos Hotel.
