In a communiqué by the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 4, AIG Agboola Oshodi Glover, the security chiefs agreed at the end of the meeting to partner with community and youth leaders through the formation of credible vigilante groups in the respective states in accordance with the principle of community policing.
They also took common stand in taking proactive steps to address farmers and herders clashes within the zone by mapping out crime prone areas as well as building synergy with neighbouring states to curtail criminals, who usually struck in one state and flee to another.
