It was an all smiles affairs for sponsors, partners, parents and the children of the Child Right Advocacy of Abuja when the Save The Children EVERY ONE campaign ended last weekend, after seven years in operation.

The Country Director, Mr. Ben Foot speaking at the event in Abuja, said the EVERY ONE campaign started in 2009 and closed in 2016. “There have been improvements in the areas that EVERY ONE campaign has been campaigning about. If we look at immunization for example we have now got rid of polio, it is not here anymore it was here in 2001.

Mrs Abimbola Williams, a pioneer member of the campaign said it was based on a strategic framework which was hinged on the four pillars of programming, politics and policy change, popular mobilization and fund raising.

She said Nigeria has made significant change in some areas like reducing under 5-years mortality even though they were not able to meet MDGS 4 and 5 target which elapsed in 2015.

The event was anchored by children of child right advocacy group Gwagwalada and had a film show acted by children which centers on the trial of the Nigerian state for neglecting the Nigerian children.
