A Youth gang known as Yan Sara-Suka attacked a house at Dakaci Street along Zango, a suburb of Kaduna Metropolis and killed a 50-year old woman Rabi’atu Yusuf and an infant named Kabiru in the area.

The incident occurred on Saturday 28 October 2017 around 10: 30 am.

It was gathered that the attackers, mostly of ages between 18 and 22 were at the house on a revenge mission.

Their member was alleged to have been killed by friends of the woman’s son.

The victim’s son, 22 year old Yahaya and his friends were not in good terms for over two years with the other group that killed his mother, it was gathered.

A neighbour that witnessed the incident but pleaded for anonymity told Daily Trust that the woman was stabbed on the stomach.

" I was outside  when I saw  the youths running towards the house, holding dangerous knives  going into the house.

" it was after they entered inside the compound that one of them stabbed the woman. Other neighbours and I rushed  to take her to a nearby hospital. As we took her out of the compound  they poured petrol and set the house on fire" he said.

It gathered that the infant who was burn blind was lying in the bed inside one of the  rooms when he got burnt beyond recognition as other women in the compound all took to their heels.

Step son to the woman killed and the elder in the family Tukur explained that their target who was his half brother had since stopped coming to the house.

" We don’t even know his whereabouts because we dislike his attitude which was why we were worried when they came looking for him at the house.

" Ever since they killed my step mother and her grandson. The rest of the family members deserted the house  because we are afraid the attackers may return again," he said.

Tukur pleaded with the State Government and Security agencies to end the crisis.

Investigation by Daily Trust reporter who visited the community revealed that since the crisis began among the youth gangs in the area, three people have so far been killed.

It was gathered that the Gidan Gayu Police station was aware of the clash and how youth gangs continue to terrorise the community with little or no effort made to end the situation.

When contacted, the Kaduna State Police Command P‎ublic Relations Officer, ASP Hussaini Muktar didn’t answer his calls.
