The Kebbi State Police Command has recovered a rocket launcher, 13 AK-47 rifles and 32 live cartridges from seven additional suspects it arrested in connection with the attack on Bena community in Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area of the state few days ago.
The state Commissioner of Police, Kabiru M. Ibrahim confirmed the development to journalists in Birnin Kebbi. The command on Wednesday paraded 11 suspects it linked with the attack on Kaboro, a border village between Kebbi and Zamfara states, where five people were killed this week.
He stated that the suspects were arrested and the weapons were recovered when his men combed the bushes in the affected villages thoroughly. He also said that the seven suspects who were arrested are currently being investigated for armed robbery and other criminal offences.
