The Chairman of Gwagwalada Area Council, Alhaji Adamu Mustapha, has said his administration has given priority to road rehabilitation and construction to give the council a facelift and boost socio-economic activities.
He said despite the challenges of insufficient funds, the council had rehabilitated and constructed some roads within the metropolis of the area.
Mustapha, stated this while receiving an award from the Coordinator of Centre for Ethics And Self -Value Reorientation (CEASR), Salisu Musa, in his office at the weekend.
“If you could recall, there are many roads within the metropolis that had been in deplorable state over the years. During my campaign I promised to rehabilitate and construct some of them. And as I speak now, some of them have been completed, while some are ongoing,” he said.
The chairman said he was overwhelmed by the award and dedicated it to the entire people of the council.
