They reached this resolution at the end their national executive council meeting in Jos but did not say when the demonstration would take place.
REPON National Secretary retired ASP Silvanus Basadeimbo who briefed newsmen after the meeting said: “We have served Nigeria diligently for decades, we have retired and our pensions are not properly paid. We have written several times to all the relevant authorities, yet we are not being considered. Our plights are ignored. Many of our members are ill and many are dying. Our children are out of schools, we are made to look like beggars. Our resolve is that we are embarking on a peaceful demonstration and we will all gang up to vote the PDP out of government.”
