The first batch of Team Nigeria delegates to the 12th All Africa Games have arrived Morocco.

The 294 delegates include athletes, coaches, Sports ministry officials and journalists.

The Nigerian delegation departed the Nnamdi Azikiwe international airport Abuja aboard an Air Peace chartered aircraft around 6.20 am on Friday and touched down as exactly 10:38am on Saturday.

Present at the Abuja airport to see off the Nigerian contingent was the Permanent Secretary of the ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Mr, Olusade Adesola.

Team Nigeria will compete in 22 sports at the Africa’s Olympics.

It will be recalled the federal government had on Wednesday handed Team Nigeria to the President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), Engr Habul Gumel.

The 2019 All African Games will be hosted in Rabat, Morocco from August 19th to August 30th with Team Nigeria competing in 22 sports.

Meanwhile, the Team Welcome Ceremony is scheduled to hold today at the Welcome Centre, International University, Rabat (Games Village).
