The19th annual Qur’anic recitation competition organised by Jama’atu Izalatul Bidi’a Wa Ikamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS) will be held in Bauchi State.
National Co-coordinator of the competition, Al-Hafiz Aminu Yusuf Nuhu, while speaking to journalists in Bauchi, said 200 contestants from 22 states across the country will take part in the exercise.
He said arrangements to hold the competition have been concluded.
The competition will commence on Saturday, November 22, and end on the 28th.
He said 131 contestants have already registered for the exercise.
He said Quranic recitation in any state attracts blessings for residents, and urged people of Bauchi State to be part of the programme.
Yusuf said the Sutan of Sokoto, emirs and governors of Bauchi, Jigawa, Zamfara and Gombe states are expected to be at the event.
