A total 455,656 people voted for President Muhammadu Buhari as the candidate of the All Progressive Congress in the forthcoming 2019 presidential election in Abia State.
Speaking shortly after collation of results from 184 wards in the State, The State Chairman All Progressives Congress (APC) Chief Donatus Nwamkpa said the results obtained indicate that the people of the state in the 17 local government area overwhelmingly endorsed President Buhari for a second term.
In his remarks, the State returning officer Professor Chris Nwanmou said the the presidential primary was not concluded on the 28th day of September, because of bad roads which affected mobility.
