Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Lands, Survey and Country Planning, Abdullahi Isiyaku, in a statement said the governor approved the allocation of plots along Abuja road.
According to the statement, Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Suleiman Sambo, while receiving members of the Association of Plot Owners, Kudendan, said the land owners have already been issued necessary letters.
“He said issuing of the letters was delayed due to the demarcation and survey of the land. He urged the beneficiaries to comply with the provisions and conditions as stated in their letters to enable the ministry process their Certificate of Occupancy (C of O),” the statement said.
Secretary, Association of Plot Owners, Kudendan, Comrade Okpara Joakhim, said 400 owners are in the process of getting new plots of land and prayed that the governor will promptly settle the remaining plot owners.
“The position today is reassuring because the governor has signed the first phase of the land which is about 400 plots of land to cater for part of the land owners, not all. Nobody has really taken possession of the land, because the process is still on. But we intend to use this week to round up the process with the ministry of lands”, he said.
