Chief of Mission of the IOM, Enira Krdzalic made this disclosure when she paid a working visit to the Chairman of NPC Eze Duruiheoma in Abuja yesterday.
Enira said: “In six months, we will launch a real-time national database that will be linked with the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) to help streamline migration data and support migration survey by the national population’s commission as well as support sub regional migration data sharing.”
There will also be technical support for the processing of backlog of international migration arrival and departure cards for regular production of international migration statistics (IMS) for data users, she said.
Speaking earlier, Eze Durui-heoma noted the long standing collaboration with the especially the development of the 2009 national migration profile and capacity building for NPC staff.
