The acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Suleiman Abba has decentralized the issuance of tinted glass permit.
A statement by Force spokesman acting Commissioner of Police Emmanuel Ojukwu said: “He has delegated the power to Commissioners of Police in charge of State Commands so as to bring service closer to the people.”
He added that: “such permits have the same authority as those previously issued by Force Headquarters and are valid throughout the Federation.”
Ojukwu noted that: “Applicants have to get their vehicles examined to ascertain the tinted glasses are factory fitted.”
