Security stakeholders in Plateau State comprising all security agencies, community mediators, community leaders, and civil society organisations have adopted the United Nations Resolution 1325 as a model for peaceful coexistence and peacebuilding in the state.
The UN Resolution 1325 on peace and security is anchored on equal participation for women, collective prevention, mutual protection as well as inclusive relief and recovery.
The stakeholders adopted the peace and security model at a one-day seminar for security stakeholders organized by the CLEEN Foundation held in Jos, the capital yesterday.
The executive director of CLEEN Foundation, Gad Peter Shamaki, said the gathering reflected a commitment to collaborative efforts in addressing contemporary challenges that demand a collective response.

All the participants emphasised the urgent need to make room for more women’s participation in all aspects of security planning and management across the state.
