It was observed yesterday that the premises of some stations that had fuel were empty, yet long queues of vehicles waited outside.
A motorist, Hajara Ibrahim, said she had been on the line for four hours but couldn’t get fuel.
“I noticed that people were moving in and out of the other gate of the filling station. I learnt that the people are buying some products being sold in the station at between N500 and N1, 000 in return for fuel sale”, she said. Meanwhile, black marketers are making brisk business as a litre goes for between N120 and N130, where available.
