The permanent secretary in the Federal Ministry of Finance, Dr Mohammad Dikwa, has been conferred with the International Centre for Sustainable Development Nigeria award on Financial Management Excellence.

Chairman, Awards and Honours Committee of the ICSND, Prof. Akpofure Rim-Rukeh, in a statement yesterday, said the award was a direct recognition of Dikwa’s numerous contributions to the sustenance of the Nigerian economy, good governance and loyalty to the country.

He said Dikwa’s nomination was in line with the policy thrust as well as the institutional goal of the centre which identifies strength and promotion of time-tested sustainable development.

He said the Board of Governors of the centre took into cognisance, Dikwa’s “celebrated successes and achievements as well as highlighted him as a self-made gentleman, a mentor par excellence and indeed a role model to the core.”
