Witnesses told our correspondent that a suspected drunk police driver veered into the road and ran into a fast moving Keke NAPEP. The impact of the collision threw out the two passengers in the tricycle and the driver died on the spot. The police team in the van only managed to escape the wrath of onlookers by quickly removing of the corpse. The spokesman of the Bayelsa Police Command, Mr.Alex Akhigbe, said though some concerned residents notified him of the incident, he was yet to get a detailed brief from the Divisional Command but promised to investigate it.
