Partnership key to our Nigerian operations –Chevron boss

Chevron is the third-largest oil producer in Nigeria and one of the largest investors operating under a joint-venture arrangement with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) with assets on land, in swamp and near-offshore concessions covering approximately 2.2 million acres (8,900 sq km) in the Niger Delta region.
Speaking at the opening dinner during the just concluded Nigeria Oil and Gas (NOG) Conference/Exhibition in Abuja, Neff said that the company was focused on building productive, collaborative, trusting and beneficial relationships.
He said the conference availed the company the chance to meet, network and share ideas on ways to collectively move the Nigerian oil and gas industry forward.  
“The theme for this year’s NOG: “The Journey Towards Transformation”, is apt and appropriate, considering the over 50 per cent fall in the price of oil and other factors affecting the oil and gas business in Nigeria. I believe, we are all looking forward to participating in the various sessions that will enable us establish best practices and practical sustainable solutions for Nigeria to continue its journey towards transformation and growth.”  
Chevron has extensive interests in deepwater Nigeria. It operates the Agbami Field, one of Nigeria’s largest deepwater discoveries.
It also has a nonoperated interest in another major deepwater development, the Usan Project.
