The Paediatric Association of Nigeria (PAN) will conclude its annual conference today with an Annual General Meeting and dinner.
The conference tagged, “The impact of rapid population growth on the child,” commenced on Tuesday with plenary sessions during which discussions were held on various topics on child health.
Daily Trust observed that the conference was aimed at looking inwards to strategize and produce rational and implementable solutions to some of the problems affecting children in the country.
This year’s conference is the 51st in the series, according to the president of the Association, Professor Augustine I. Omoigberale.
Participants were drawn from all over the country and abroad for the conference that was held at the Afficent Event Centre, Kano.
Major highlights of the four-day long event were; pre-conference workshops, which were held on Sunday, January 19, and Monday, January 20, 2020, as well as the scientific sessions, discussions, symposiums and annual general meeting which will hold today.
Participants are expected to return to their respective destinations after the dinner which is the last item on the agenda of the conference.
