The aggrieved staff who spoke to our correspondent under the condition of anonymity in Kaduna said the money had been released to the management of NSITF but has not gotten to the staff.
“We were employed in 2010 and since we were employed, we were not paid the 28 days allowance, other allowances include, furniture allowance for the year 2013 and 2014, dressing allowance for 2014 and education allowance for 2014 which is very unfair because this is what was stated in our letter of appointments and that is what we are supposed to use to take care of our families.
“The most surprising thing is that we heard the money had been disbursed in order to be given to staff, but it has not gotten to the staff. So, as a result of that we are finding it very difficult to even come to work every day,” they said.
They called on the management of NSITF to as a matter of urgency pay the outstanding allowances in a bid to ease the suffering of members of staff.
Efforts to get the reaction of the Managing Director/CEO of NSITF, Alhaji Umar Munir Abubakar, proved abortive as he neither answered calls placed to his mobile line nor replied to text messages sent to him.
