Abua: I will say “Bold 5 babes,” a movie directed by Humphrey Humjo Ojonugwa. I acted with Lilian Okojie, John Paul Nwadike and Vincent Opurum.
WM: What challenges did you face when you started?
Abua: When I started, I spent money travelling long distances for auditions and in the end the role was given to someone else.
WM: What motivated you to start acting?
Abua: Anytime I watched Hollywood and Nollywood movies, I always get motivated. That moved me to start acting.
WM: Nollywood is rated as the third best movie industry in the world, what’s your take on it?
Abua: I will say second in the world after Hollywood. The industry is improving because there are new technologies coming up every day and upcoming artistes are doing very well. Back then, nobody would ever make acting a full-time job to earn a living with it, but today, we can say there are full-time actresses and actors.
WM: Which Nollywood star do you look up to as role model?
Abua: God is my role model but all the same I love all my colleagues, I would pick my role model to somebody outside the industry, a business icon, a lawyer and entrepreneur, Matthew Abunis. I have been learning a lot from him so far.

Abua: My advice to them is that they should be prayerful, focused and also desist from any immoral act. They shouldn’t emulate anybody and acting is a talent given by God.

Abua: That will be determined by the man I would marry. I believe he will like to see me acting but I will leave that decision for him to make.
WM: What do you think about the level of unemployment in Nigeria today?
Abua: Bad governance and corruption in Nigeria are the major causes of unemployment in Nigeria. The government should focus on necessary things that concerns Nigerians. They should partner with Nigerians all over the world so that they can invest in the country to create jobs and reduce unemployment.
