Some of the soccer fans who protested at the Arena Pantanal in Cuiaba, venue of Nigeria’s second Group F match against Bosnia Herzegovina, called on the international community to assist the country overcome the war against insurgency.
The Nigerian soccer fans, accompanied by others from other parts of the globe, carried placards with inscription “World Unites Against Boko Haram” to canvass support for Nigeria in the fight against Boko Haram.
Some of the soccer fans who spoke to Daily Trust, said they will sustain the campaign throughout the period of the World Cup fiesta to compel the “powerful nations of the world” to come to the aid of Nigeria.
“We will continue with the campaign throughout the period of the World Cup so that the world will listen to us and help save our people from the deadly activities of Boko Haram,” Bamidele Johnson told our reporter.
