The chairman, Governing Council of the Nigerian Investment and Promotion Commission (NIPC) Honourable Babangida SM Nguroje, has condemned in strong terms the mayhem unleashed on the people of Bali in Taraba Central of Taraba state over the weekend which led to the unfortunate death of one person.
In a statement issued in Abuja yesterday, the former deputy speaker noted that the ugly trend would hinder development and growth of democracy in Nigeria particularly as the country prepares for the 2019 general elections.
He urged the state to create a deliberate mechanism to do away with negative and retrogressive tendencies and narratives surrounding the conflict, which according to him is divertive attention from the issues to non-issues.
