Engr. Peter Ewesor has bowed out as the Managing Director of the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA) and Chief Electrical Inspector of the Federation after his tenure elapsed on September 10, 2017.

Engr. Ewesor handed over to the most senior official at the agency Engr. Tukur Aliyu, who is the Head, Technical Standards and Inspectorate Services.

Confirming the handover, Engr. Ewesor said on phone yesterday that he handed over on Friday, September 8, 2017, two days before his tenure elapsed as it ran into the weekend.

“Our tenure has expired and government will have to renew it or appoint. Pending when that is done, we followed the right path by handing over in the interim to the most senior official at NEMSA to head the agency in the interim,” he said.

Ewesor had led the pioneer management of NEMSA since late 2013 when the agency was still called the Electricity Management Services Limited (EMSL) with no parliamentary backing.
