Pyramid Trust gathered that the members of the sect who are indigenes of the local government are camping at Kawaji Jigirya Primary School.
Council boss Dr Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna said it had become incumbent upon the local government to assist and bring relief materials to the members of the sect who were sent packing from their base in Niger State.
Dr Gawuna also said preparations were in top gear toward ensuring that the amount donated would reach the displaced members of the sect, stating he had already instituted a team that would give him a situation report on their plight.
Also speaking, the Information Officer of the Local Government Malam Sagir Abdullahi Kwanar Huguma said there were 40 indigenes of the local government in the camp, some of whom have their families with them.
While calling on the sect members to live in harmony with their host community, he said the council chairman had listening ears toward the plight of the people of the Local Government.
