The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has announced the rescheduling of the September 2019 Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) to today and Friday.

The committee had earlier fixed the meeting for Monday, September 23 and Tuesday, September 24, 2019. It has now been rescheduled to hold earlier – today and Friday – a statement from the CBN Director, Corporate Communication, Mr. Isaac Okoraofor, said.

At the July MPC meeting, the committee retained the benchmark interest rate (MPR) at 13.5 percent and also held other parameters constant.

It kept the asymmetric corridor at +200bps and -500bps around the MPR, the Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR)  at 22.50 percent and the liquidity ratio retained at 30 percent.
