Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MOPPAN) Kano chapter has revealed its willingness to adopt any measure that would ensure unity and progress in the Hausa movie industry popularly known as Kannywood.
This was disclosed by the state MOPPAN Kano chapter caretaker committee chairman Shu’aibu Yawale when he led members of the committee on a courtesy visit to Daily Trust’s Kano regional office.
Yawale said the committee had resolved to pay the visit to Daily Trust taking into consideration the level of cooperation the company was given to the entertainment industry especially the Hausa movie industry adding that the committee was on a support seeking tour to relevant outfits that would assist the Hausa movie industry in making it a lawful and viable business sector.
He further stated that the committee would, before its time expires, bring all stakeholders on board to ensure unity and understanding to drive the industry to a greater height.
Media Trust regional editor, Yusha’u A. Ibrahim ensured the committee of Daily Trust’s continues cooperation and support in reporting and promoting the industry’s activities. He also advised the committee not to relent on its mission of making the movie industry more viable.
