The North Central zone of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has accused youths from Nimbo in Uzo Uwani local government area of Enugu State of crossing over to the boundary village of Aneke in Igalamela-Odolu local government area of Kogi State where they killed and evacuated the corpse of one of its members.
The group’s zonal Chairman, North Central, Malam Danladi Chiroma who visited Daily Trust office in Jos, said 10 cattle were also shot dead while over 50 were still unaccounted for, stressing that the apex Fulani herders’ group had involved the Police from the two states in the matter.
Chiroma said the victim, 22-year-old Gide Gudu, was attacked and killed by a dozen armed men last Thursday while his travelling companion escaped and reported the matter but said, “By the time our people got there, we only found the dead cattle and a pool of blood while Gudu’s corpse had been evacuated.”
