Adamawa State governor, Muhammad Jibrilla is following up on his threat to sign a white paper against former governor and mentor, Murtala Nyako.
The report of Justice Umar Bobboi Judicial Panel of Inquiry set up by Nyako’s immediate predecessor, Acting Governor Umaru Fintiri had indicted Nyako for mismanagement of funds.
The Commissioner of Information, Ahmad Sajoh who briefed newsmen after the weekly Executive Council Meeting on Wednesday announced that the matter had been forwarded to the state’s Ministry of Justice for advice.
He further revealed that a five-man panel had been set up by the State Executive Council to investigate the activities of the state MDG’s.
“The state Executive Council at the meeting also ordered full investigations into the activities of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) from its inception till date in the state.
The panel of investigation headed by Alpha Belel will have Ayuba Tumba, Jim Audu and Baba Shuaibu as members while the Deputy Permanent Secretary (political) in the SSG’s office is to serve as secretary.
It would be recalled that former governor Murtala Nyako was impeached by the state assembly in 2014.
