The two civilians were paraded before journalists at a media conference in Kaduna with one of them wearing an army uniform.
The air force said the suspects specialized in defrauding job applicants of their money by claiming to be recruitment agents for the army and air force.
Parading the suspects at the NAF base, Kaduna, the Commander of 335 BSG, Air Commodore Musibau Soladoye, said the NAF element of the State Internal Security Outfit arrested a middle- aged suspect named Zenkeli Isaiah (26), who specialised in organising fake recruitment forms into the Nigeria Army or Air Force.
He said another man, Haruna Charles Usman (28), a teacher, who hails from Benue State was also arrested around Kawo area for duping one Mrs Cecilia Jerry of N75,000 with the pretence of recruiting her brother into the Army.
The commander further disclosed that a military personnel directly involved in the fake recruitment exercise was also arrested and is under their custody.
Although, the military man was not paraded, the commander assured that his case will be handled accordingly between now and the next few weeks.
He said the two civilians will be handed over to the Nigerian police for prosecution.
Items recovered from Isaiah, who also hails from Benue State included military kits, ‘on-duty’ tags of the headquarters training command and some recruitment documents, among others.
When asked why he ventured into such business, Isaiah said he was dismissed from the Army depot as a recruit last year and decided to try his luck but was caught in his very first attempt.
