Entries for the Maltina Teacher Contest, a scheme that rewards teachers, have opened to all secondary school teachers in both private and public schools till June 25, 2021.
According to the Nigerian Breweries (NB), the seventh edition of the Maltina Teacher of the Year is a brainchild of the company and the Felix Ohiwerei Education Trust Fund.
Speaking at the flag off ceremony in Lagos, the Corporate Affairs Director of NB, Mrs Sade Morgan, said the initiative was one of the numerous ways through which the company was fulfilling its corporate philosophy of “Winning with Nigeria”.
She stated that the first runner-up would receive N1m, second runner-up N750,000, while all state champions would be rewarded with N500,000 each.
She urged all secondary school teachers in Nigeria to take advantage of the initiative to gain the deserved reward and recognition.
Morgan further stated that just like in the previous editions, the ultimate winner would receive a N6.5m. This is in addition to capacity development training abroad while his/her school receives either a block of classroom or a computer laboratory.
