The Kebbi State Government with the support of U.S President’s Malaria Initiative (U.S PMI) is to distribute 2.6 million Long Lasting Insecticidal bed Nets (LLINs) to people in the 225 wards of the 21 local government areas of the state.
To ensure the nets are properly distributed 5,062 mobilizers would be engaged at the 1,027 designated distribution points across the LGAs.
Speaking to journalists during a sensitization programme on the use of bed nets for the prevention of malaria in Kebbi State, the state Coordinator for Health Communication Capacity Collaborative PMI/HC3 under USAID, Sammy Olaniru said the objective of the distribution was to ensure that every two persons in the state got one bed net to sleep in.
