has said the ongoing “Made in Aba Fair” in Abuja is to encourage enterprise creation and development.
Alhaji Masari, who spoke at the opening ceremony of the fair, said only enterprise development is a way to job creation.
He said the fair will expose SME operators to the various investment opportunities, sources of finance and interaction with regulatory agencies for the purpose of improving their business.
Aba is the home of the well-known leather and shoe cluster. It houses approximately 55,000 businesses and makes about N8 billion revenue annually, according to Trade and Investment Minister Olusegun Aganga.
Also speaking at the event, Senator Enyinnaya Abariba said: “Patronizing ‘Made in Aba’ shoe is same as patronizing the leather from Kano as well as buckles from Lagos which are all components of the made in Aba shoe translating into buying made in Nigeria.”
