The Senate resumed Thursday’s plenary with an executive session that started at 11.07am.
The Senate’s Chief Whip, Olusola Adeyeye (APC, Osun) announced that they are proceeding on the closed session.
He asked the Sergeant-at-Arms to clear the chamber for them to commence the meeting.
They are meeting hours after the police announced the recovery of the stolen mace.
The meeting is ongoing at the Senate chamber inside the National Assembly in Abuja.
