President of NUPTE Comrade Sunday Alhassan in a press statement said the decision is an indication that house members are “true representatives of the people.”
Alhassan urged the National Assembly to intensify efforts at resuscitating the national carrier for optimum performance as a commercial enterprise which will take many unemployed Nigerians off the streets.
He argued that national operators in every sector of the economy, not just telecommunications operate alongside private interests all over the world, saying Nigeria should not be an exception.
