House of Representatives Speaker Yakubu Dogara yesterday attributed the Boko Haram insurgency and the resultant humanitarian crisis in the North-East to failure of leadership.
Dogara, in a statement issued by his media aide, Turaki Hassan, spoke after viewing a documentary on the impact of insurgency in the Northeast produced by the Victim Support Fund (VSF).
The documentary was filmed at the behest of the speaker and was viewed by the Northeast caucus of the House, along with a delegation of elders from Bauchi state, under the auspices of the Bauchi State Forum led by a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation Alhaji Mahmud Yayale Ahmed.
