Greed, corruption and various degrees of leadership crisis have been identified as the major drawbacks to Nigeria’s effective economic growth and development.
Kano state governor, Engineer Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso made this assertion today in Abuja, while delivering his keynote address at a book launch in Abuja.
The governor represented at the occasion by his Information Commissioner, Professor Umar Faruk Jibril, said any right leadership can produce positive changes in any sector.
“Leadership crisis in Nigeria evidently is a major drawback to Nigeria’s growth.This book is a realistic narrative of the Nigerian state. In our opinion as a government, this book has restored our confidence that literary endeavors of this nature are capable of providing the much needed direction and opening for change in our country” he said.
The book, ‘A Quiet Revolutionary’ authored by Alhaji Ibrahim Bida Buhari in simple terms, narrates how leadership failure cripples the socio-economic sector of any nation. It also proffered solutions for a way out of such failed circumstances.
