The family of the slain Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Super TV, Michael Usifo Ataga, has criticised the police over the handling of investigation into the murder.
The family have, therefore, appointed Mike Ozekhome (SAN) to represent them in the matter.

In a statement over the weekend, Ozekhome said the family also criticised the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, over the lack of professionalism and protection of the suspected killers of Ataga.
Ozekhome said, “The family said that they were shocked that the prosecution of the 21-year-old prime suspect in Ataga’s murder, one Chidinma Ojukwu of the Mass Communication Department, University of Lagos, was arraigned at a chief magistrates’ court, Yaba, without even being informed about the arraignment coming up.”
Usifo was found dead on June 15, 2021, with multiple stab wounds on his body and initial investigation traced the killing to Chidinma, who initially confessed to the act after both of them retired to an apartment on Adebowale Oshin Street, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, which she personally booked.
