A huge fire outbreak is currently raging at the popular Balogun Market located on Lagos Island.
Though, details of the fire is still sketchy, but eye witnesses alleged that the fire started around 3 am.
No casualty has however been reported, but properties worth millions of Naira are said to have been destroyed in the process.
Presently, policemen from Area A Command and Ebutero Police Division are battling to keep street urchins also known as Area Boys away from looting property of victims.
A combined team of fire service officials from both the Federal and the State fire service are currently battling the inferno.
Ibrahim Farinloye, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in the South West Region who confirmed the report said the fire is still raging.
